Who is Anton Kreil?
Anton Kreil is the Managing Partner of the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management, an independent global community of 1,400 traders across 30+ countries. In this role, Anton manages the Institute's community and oversees Jakubstadt Holdings' global portfolio via corporate trading accounts from Singapore, along with his own long-term investments outside the Institute.

Anton has had a distinguished career as a professional trader. He opened his first trading account at sixteen and traded profitably through the tech boom in the late 1990s. He was the first among 400 students in his Economics undergraduate program at the University of Manchester to receive a formal job offer from an investment bank trading desk. Goldman Sachs, impressed by his track record, offered him an unconditional contract, meaning he could achieve any grade in his degree and still be hired as a professional trader. Anton completed the prestigious Goldman Sachs Analyst Program in 2000 and Associate Program in 2002 in New York, which have trained many of the world's top investment bank and hedge fund traders over the past thirty years.

During his career, Anton held dual roles as a proprietary trader and market maker, managing two separate books on Pan European trading desks in London. His proprietary trading book grew from $25 million in 2000 to over $400 million by 2004 while at Goldman Sachs. He traded multiple sectors, including tech, media, telecom, banks, insurance, transports, industrials, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and chemicals. All sectors he traded were globally ranked first or second in market share, making him one of the biggest traders worldwide. Known for his ability to profit from significant situations like macroeconomic and earnings surprises, he earned the reputation of being one of the "big situation traders" at Goldman Sachs. He was headhunted by Lehman Brothers in 2004 and by JP Morgan in 2006, where he ran the global pharmaceuticals, biotech, and chemicals franchises, achieving top market share and profitability status globally at both firms. Anton retired from investment banking in May 2007, just before the Global Financial Crisis.

In June 2008, Anton was selected by the BBC to appear in the British TV series "Million Dollar Traders," which aired in 2009. The show gained global attention, catapulting Anton into the limelight. In response to thousands of messages requesting trading education, Anton founded the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management in 2011. The Institute has since become the world's leading trading education company, with a community of highly trained and educated retail traders who can trade from anywhere in the world. This growth has allowed Anton, through the Institute's parent company, to deploy capital to many of the Institute's traders, enabling them to make a living from trading.

Anton Kreil is renowned in the industry for his passion for financial markets, intense work ethic, and ability to mentor new talent in the industry.

"All I aim to do at the Institute is spread the message of our educational trading content and approach to the
widest possible audience. This is because I know with certainty that once our students implement what we teachthem, the size of our community will simply take care of itself. Nothing matters more to me than teaching people
the right approach to trading." Anton Kreil
